Every year people who are interested in using a human-centred approach to problem solving and creativity meet all over the globe under the name of Global Service Jam. In a spirit of experimentation, co-operation and friendly competition, teams have 48 hours to develop brand new services inspired by a shared theme before publishing them to the world. The London has been part of this global event since 2011. In the past, the event has attracted hundreds of professionals and students from Technology, User Experience Design, Product Design, Digital Marketing, Public Services, Social Innovation and Higher Education.
The 2016 Service Jam London is partnering with Newspeak House and put a focus on designing for social innovation and digital government services. We would like to invite members of the Newspeak House to take part in this event by sharing one or two challenges in their current project with the jam team. This is prefect opportunity to utilise a team of experts from various backgrounds to explore and propose solution for a social problem by rapid ideation and prototyping. Apart from a mixed-skilled team, the jam also involves a number of mentors from relevant fields, each holds over 10 years of experience in their discipline. We believe this intense but action-packed 48 hours will bring benefit and inspiration to you and your project.
Your participant is free of charge as a Newspeak House member, we would like to have you over the entire weekend over 26-28th February. You will become part of a jam team, take a role as a client, present the challenge you prepared for the team, share your knowledge on the subject, and provide necessary background information.
If it sounds like an interesting proposition, please get in touch with Dr Qin Han by Wednesday 27th January.
